After months of trying, I finally captured a close up of my little hummer. Among the smallest of birds, Hummingbirds can hover in mid-air by flapping their wings 19-90 times per second. They’re the only birds who can fly backwards. They consume more than their body weight in nectar each day by visiting hundreds of flowers. This one perched on my plastic bird feeder at 7 am this morning, and I was ready!
