Where have all the flowers gone?

Saw what I thought were lilly pads floating in a fountain but just the leaves remained. Is this what happens in the Fall?

Oh, that tells such a good story of the changing seasons. Those wonderful lilies are gone til next summer. Beautiful fall capture.
