The balls are in your court

I visited with friends on Christmas day and walked around their beautiful gardens. Off to one side was an asphalt court for Bocce Ball, an ancient ball game that combines the best of skee ball, lawn bowling and shuffle board. It originated in Italy but is played all over the world. I liked the patterns on the balls, which are about the size of large grapefruits, so I ramped up the saturation a bit to bring out the colors. Best viewed on black.

Lovely view large with the black, the balls just pop out. The balls look almost like they are textured, but I don't think Bocce Balls are. Love the shadows that you captured.

Very interesting POV. Yes, Bocce ball is played a lot in our Little Italy area, especially, of San Diego.
