The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town is situated in the oldest working harbor in South Africa. It is the most visited destination on the African continent. On our first night, we had lobster bisque at a Belgian restaurant on the water, with views of Table Mountain and the beautiful city skyline.
I'm still a bit jet lagged so I wandered out to the terrace early this morning, opened the French doors to hear music and loud announcements over megaphones coming from the main street below. Apparently, there's a marathon this morning in Cape Town with 20,000 runners or so I thought I heard. Perhaps they'll be passing by my balcony shortly? Better go grab the camera.
