The most prominent feature of Cape Town is the flat-topped plateau called Table Mountain, rising up 3500 feet above the sea and creating it's own unique eco-climate. We were fortunate to be able to see the mountain without it's "table cloth" of clouds
today.
We had an interesting meal at a regional restaurant with friends who live just outside the city limits. Tried new delicacies such as crocodile pie and kudu appetizers, ostrich filets and other grilled meats. So far, this South African city doesn't look much different than the coast of Southern California but we've never before experienced such unusual taste treats!
Beautiful!! And, yes, I too have noticed a lot of similarities between our SoCal beaches and environs. Hopefully, it will get more exotic as you move on to your safari. So glad your taste buds are experiencing something new.... I love trying out new things when we travel!
This is a wonderful capture. I love blue tones, the string of light by the distant shore and the setting sun as well as a clear view of table mountain. Fav
Lovely dusk shot of my favourite city, I know what you mean about the different taste sensation, SA seems to have incorporated so many different cultures into their foods - have fun!
