My mom passed on December 25 at the age of 89, surrounded by her loved ones after two months of hospice care at home. She fought to the end and is now at peace which is a blessing. I'm so grateful to her amazing caregivers for the devoted care they gave her and the support they gave me over the past 10 years. I am fortunate to have had a mother who was a tower of strength throughout her life. She's passed the mantle to me now. I'm hoping I'm up to the challenge that awaits. Pictured (L - R) are my aunt, me and my mom, mom on her 89th birthday in August, mom at 18 and as a new mother with me on her lap.
What a beautiful woman...you take after her Elizabeth. You were so lucky to have her in our life for so long. Lovely collage of a beautiful family. Very endearing.
Oh Elizabeth, I"m so sorry reading your message today. It's hard losing your mom, even though it may be a blessing in some ways. I'm sure you'll miss her, but what wonderful memories you will have. This is such a well-constructed tribute to her. My thoughts are with you.
What a lovely glamourous lady. I am sorry that this was you had to go through this over Christmas, but your legacy of strength will help. My mum died seven years ago and it is a different world without your mum but the memories, love and warmth stay with you forever and you see their traits in yourself, your siblings and your children. My thoughts are with you in the coming moths as you come to terms with this.
What a beautiful collage of pictures. Your mom was a beautiful woman, she will always be remembered this way. Beautiful tribute. I am sorry to read of her passing but she was with all those she loved.
Elizabeth, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mum. The tribute to her is wonderful and you are right, they do pass the mantle on. Because of her you will live up to the challenge.
My deepest condolence for your mother's passing away. Beautiful tribute to her with this nice collage. May God console you among the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
I believe from reading the comments above that we all ache for you in some way. Please accept my condolences and I'm sure your mother will still serve as a positive guide for you throughout the rest of your life.
Oh, Elizabeth, I am so sorry about the loss of your mom.....I had no idea that she had been in hospice care. This is a wonderful tribute to her, and she certainly looks like she was a beautiful and strong willed woman at any age. My condolences at this difficult time.....sad time, indeed!
