Thought it would be fun to group some shots together of the colorful lake structures in the Shaun State of Myanmar. All of the homes, restaurants and shops are built along the little rivers and waterways, many standing on stilts right in the waters of the lake. I read that in many places the lake is only about 10-15 feet deep but during the rainy season, the water level can increase significantly. No need for cars or scooters here. Long boats and water taxis transport everything from fresh produce and sacks of rice to boatloads of travelers with their phone cameras and long lenses.
