We celebrated my husband's birthday today, sailing the beautiful waters off Tamarindo in the North Pacific section of Costa Rica. We snorkeled in a calm bay behind the huge rock in the photo. Then we had a seafood dinner on the beach- literally - our table and my feet were in the sand about six feet from the breaking waves. Mariachis, a magician and a guy with fiery batons entertained the crowd, most of whom were busy throwing back mojitos and piña coladas.
