One of my favorite spots on the Amalfi coast is the picturesque village of Positano. This is a view of the main beach as we approached the harbor on our return boat from Capri. One of it's most recognizable landmarks is the moorish-style domed Church of Santa Maria Assunta, seen in the middle of this shot. Three years ago, we stayed in Positano for a week, navigating its
steep, narrow streets lined with art galleries, cafes and shops. It was 87 steps up from the street to our apartment! With heavy suitcases, I might add. On this return trip, we opted to stay further south, and our hotel had an elevator!
