We arrived in Edinburgh around dinner time Tuesday, after a 36-hour delay in New York due to bad weather, a sick passenger and a frustrated pilot. Our plane sat on the runway for 7 hours before they cancelled the flight, stranding us and hundreds of other summer travelers. But we finally got here, had a delicious pub meal and a wee dram of Scottish whiskey the first night.
Today we’re on the road to the Highlands. Driving on the left is gut-wrenching, especially navigating the round- abouts. It’s all worth it though because the scenery and the castles are magnificent.
Wonderful llighting and what a very cooperative seagull! Well, lets hope that your delays were the end of problems and the remainder of your trip will be smooth sailing. You will certainly be seeing some wonderful scenery up there.
