Churning up the sands

Our beach is closed this week as workers use heavy equipment to erect a half-mile long mountain of sand on the south side of the pier to protect beach-front home from winter wave damage. Erecting the 8-foot high berm is an annual event and creates a popular place for sand sledding or watching the sunset until it’s removed in the Spring.
Cool picture.

This is so cool! It makes me think of the beach version of my shot of the elevated tracks. Very very intriguing shot!
