Fruit of the Vine by redy4et

Fruit of the Vine

I have a small grapevine on the side of the house with this one cluster of grapes. Last year there was also one single cluster that the birds ate before I could harvest them so this time, I used some netting to surround the grapes for added protection. Fingers crossed that it works.
Such a great idea and fabulous shot, they look lovely.

Love the lighting on this one. I'm curious, though: Are those metallic-looking strips in the netting to reflect to scare birds? Or are they reinforcement? Both? Neither?

@timerskine A friend gave me the netting so I’m not sure. They do sell bird-proof net on Amazon in the form of little bags. I may try those next year.

Wonderful to see these growing just outside your home! I hope the netting works -- it would be fun to be able to walk outside and pick some grapes off my personal vine!

Kind of neat how the netting actually enhances the shot.
