Koi fish display a vast variety of colors and patterns making them fun to watch and photograph.But their bright colors do put them at a disadvantage against predators like herons, raccoons, or cats who can quickly empty an unattended fish pond. Koi average about 3-feet in length and are considered to be symbols of prosperity, luck and good fortune.
