Double-Crested Cormorants by redy4et

Double-Crested Cormorants

These large black water birds have a wingspan of 3 to 4 feet and look like a combination of a goose and a loon. They are relatives of the frigate birds I saw in Galapagos. Flocks of cormorants swim and fish in our pond most every day. The Great Egrets that can be seen in some of my recent shots, line the perimeter of the pond, watching them, like spectators at a sporting match.
Great capture
