Fresh Catch

In fact, this fish was so fresh the tail was still flopping around as the osprey devoured it. I read that ospreys have barbed pads on the soles of their feet to help grip slippery prey. Studies have shown that ospreys caught fish on at least 1 in every 4 dives-an excellent success rate. Too bad for the fish though.
