Verde Valley Cliff Dwelling

Montezuma Castle National Monument is the ancient home of the Sinagua people who built their homes in cliffside alcoves overlooking the river. Here the Sinagua farmers grew corn, beans and cotton using canal irrigation and crafted highly-polished reddish-brown pottery. This archaeological site is currently being excavated but isn't accessible to the public.
This is so amazing and reminds me of the cave dwellings in Turkey. Wonderful layers, textures and tones.
