Built in 1900, Parc Guell was designed as a residential housing project but no one moved in except Gaudi and his family. In 1926, it was opened as a public park and today it still attracts thousands of visitors who come to admire the creativity and artistry of the beautiful gardens. These terraced stone walls imitate the palm trees planted on them.
