The sadists at Concept2 put out a Summer Solstice Challenge every year — http://www.concept2.com/us/motivation/challenges/individual/summersolstice.asp — and there are some of us rowers who tack on an extra 97 meters and row it all at once to make it a half-marathon of 21,097m = 13.109068 miles = 13 miles, 192 yards. (This was my best time in seven half-marathons.)
For the numbers-minded, lest I be fibbing about the distance: total time = 1:30:27.7 = 90'27.7" = 5427.7" and divide by the 500m split time, 2:08.6 = 128.6" and you get 42.2 times 500m or 21,100m. :)

@digitalrn Thank you, Rick! In my mind I had 90 minutes as an unattainable goal. While 27 seconds is still a long way off, I never thought I'd be *that* close!
