Economics professor (“dismal scientist”). Married 34+ years to the love of my life and we have two lovely grown daughters. I jumped into this project at the suggestion of our older daughter and I managed to post a photo-a-day without “filler” for two years (736 posts). It’s Year Four, but by missing two days, the “Haven’t-missed-a-day-for” counter had to be restarted. Twice. Sigh. But for better or worse, I’m still here!
I had a Kodak Instamatic as a kid, but more serious photography began in 1978 with my first 35mm camera, a rangefinder Canon “Canonet.” After that came a Pentax SuperProgram, the Nikon N80 that belonged to my late father-in-law and now a Canon T2i (as well as a succession of point-and-shoots and now a GoPro Hero3 sports camera). Dad was such an inspiration! He braved the digital waters before I did and he would have such fun with the current equipment!
