Daylily … at night by rhoing

Daylily … at night

I went outside to silence a noisemaker and saw some day lily blooms still open after 9 p.m.
Any advice on shooting flowers with flash in the dark to improve on a result like this?

@michelleyoung Oh, stop, Michelle! But thank you so much.

@exposure4u The black background does help and that's the night-flash situation!

@digitalrn Looks like it's time to break out the tripod. While I have an inexpensive tripod that works fine in most situations, I'm also fortunate to have my late-father-in-law's nice one now, too. Last night I noticed the day lily was still open; perhaps tonight I should revisit this shot! Thank you, Rick!!
