Went rowing today with my friend, Roland. I saw this scene after I dropped him back at his house. I particularly liked the shadow cast by the fence running away from my vantage point at the road. I had limits, boundaries and Randy Pausch's "brick walls" on my mind as a favorite former student wrote me today that she really doesn't think law school is for her. She will land on her feet again, but I feel badly for her.

@exposure4u That's one of my favorites, too. Another one, which I tell students before and/or after I yell at them: "'When you're screwing up and nobody says anything to you anymore, that means they've given up on you.' When you see yourself doing something badly and nobody's bothering to tell you anymore, that's a bad place to be" (p. 37).
