Bokeh Christmas tree by rhoing

Bokeh Christmas tree

I shot this on a lark when this part of the house caught my eye heading up the stairs. Good thing: I shot a series at 10 p.m. and another at midnight and I trashed them all — blech. This is probably one of many similar shots, given the theme, but I have only now discovered the current theme! Can anyone tell me why 4 or 5 of the "disks" near the top have little circles in them?

At least it's not a flower, lake or sunset shot!
Beautiful!

this is neat - no idea about the little circles, unless it has to do with what you have hanging up there . . .

@harley84 So you must have a natural ("real") tree! Good for you! We remain "real tree people"!

@sitiodown Alas, what this image covers up completely is that there is nothing on the tree yet! We have a tree-decorating dinner Saturday with our best friends in Carbondale!

@sbb1980 See my next post; all white/gold looks good!

@digitalrn Thank you, Rick! A real tree is expensive for as little time as it has left before being kicked to the curb, but I was pleased with this one!

@angievega @2dogs Thank you, J and An-G!

I love this Thom...this is how I have always seen Christmas Trees....without my contacts/glasses on! I still prefer to blur my vision when I look at Christmas trees because they are so much more beautiful this way.

@cohare Thank you so much, Christine! This photograph also disguises the fact that the tree has only lights so far. Our dearest friends come for dinner tomorrow to do the rest of the decorating. We return the favor Christmas eve. Following German tradition, they decorate their tree Christmas eve and it's the one holiday tradition for which our girls will fight tooth-and-nail to get home, even in their mid-twenties!
