This glass paperweight was a gift to me from Clare’s family’s neighbor, “Martin.” (That was her last name, but if your first name were “Mafalda,” you might go by your last name, too.)

I agree - I'd go with "Martin", too! - very pretty paperweight ( it would be better in blue!)
