The village awakens

Went rowing today and the P&S is back in service, but I just liked the two dominant colors in this first-frame-of-the-day. These lilac buds look as if they are yawning as they open, hence the title.

Thom, I love the combination of colors here! It's amazing how your flowers come out so much earlier than ours. May is our month for lilacs, although I don't know what will be coming out now - it's only in the low 20's this morning, after being 84 last Thursday! I'm sure a lot of damage will be done to the flowers are fruit trees.
