I posted a coreopsis but a while back — http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2012-03-29 — but I haven't been able to get a decent shot of an open bloom. Until today the images were too "busy" or the color was eye-burning bright and seemed overexposed. This is the first image of an open flower with which I've been pleased and I like the slightly "regular irregularity" of the jagged-edged petals!

@lizzy_lu123@deburahiru Thank you, Lisa & Deb! The contrasting colors turned out well. I meant to add that I was unwilling to balance the colors and brightness in Photoshop, so this is practically SOOC.
@digitalrn Thank you, Rick. I use Photoshop (v.7, a dinosaur) to add my name without destroying the Exif info. This image has no editing save the single change: Image > Adjustments > Auto Contrast.
