Knockout rose (Rosa 'Radrazz') by rhoing

Knockout rose (Rosa 'Radrazz')

I wanted to get an open bloom and a closed-up-tight bud and title it “Open and shut [case]” This one wasn’t quite what I wanted, but I like the bright highlights on the rose petals. Editing: Image > Adjustments > Auto Contrast and name added.

From Missouri Botanical Garden, http://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/PlantFinder/PlantFinderDetails.aspx?kempercode=b481 » “KNOCK OUT is a compact shrub rose that typically grows to 3–4' tall and as wide. It is best noted for its ability to bloom in as little as 3 hours per day of direct sun with excellent disease resistance. Features single, lightly fragrant, cherry-red roses to 3.5" diameter that bloom in clusters from May to frost. Flowers are followed by orange-red hips. Foliage is dark purplish-green in summer, turning purple to burgundy in fall. 2000 AARS winner.”

I notice that the keyboard equivalent for Photoshop’s “Image > Adjustments > Auto Contrast” is “Alt + Shift + Ctrl + L”. Seriously? Press-and-hold three keys and then press “L”? I think “Alt, I, A, U” is much easier.

@rosiekind Thanks so much, Rosie!

@janets Thank you, Janet! I am beginning to get better about "seeing" the background.

@digitalrn I haven't liked that "hotness" up to now, but this shot was different or it struck me different! Thank you, Rick!

The end of the semester is near and I hope to catch up on commenting. Thank you for your visits and comments!
