(Do the antenna make anyone think of “Martin”? If so, I won’t tell.)
No story here. Just a no-brainer shot that presented itself today as I wandered the yard with the 55–250mm lens.

@digitalrn Ray Walston as Martin the Martian, it is, Rick! Well done!
@sparkleplenty1 Once more, cropping comes to the rescue of sub-optimal composition through the lens. I didn't know how long s/he would stay on that flower, so I concentrated on focus more than composition!
@lyoungs1023 Thank you, Elizabeth! As I explained, this was a no-brainer, though I had a couple of other possibilities today...
That flower is gorgeous and PINK and that hopper is cute and SO GREEN! I love this. I keep my 55-250 on my camera most of the time. But maybe not when I order this macro lens, which I may do this week!
@espyetta Thank you, MaryBeth; I did really like the colors! That's interesting; I keep my 18-55 on the camera most of the time. The 55-250 is so heavy! One of these days I will probably post a shot of my "poor man's macro" "lens" (it's not a lens); I'm too cheap to pop for a "real" macro lens!

@sailingmusic Thanks, Myrna! The color is what I really enjoy about this particular lily.
@michelleyoung Aw, thanks, Michelle. I gotta get to your posts! I'm sorry!
@aspada Indeed! The calla lilies are great (if I can keep the Japanese beetles away).
