Autumn [SOOC] by rhoing

Autumn [SOOC]

[SOOC] I thought this type of bush was called a “firebush,” but a Google search suggests that that’s wrong. I also noticed with this photo that the bush sometimes (or eventually) produces elongated “berries”. Can anyone help with identification? It’s a rather tall bush (6').

Seems likely that it’s Euonymus alatus, or “burning bush”: “Some eastern U.S. states are now banning the importation of burning bush and other alien invasives” — http://landscaping.about.com/od/landscapingshrubsbushe1/p/burning_bush.htm

Thom could it be a burning bush? I know they can get good size but not sure if they grow to 6 feet. Nice shot!
