Bleeding heart *vine* by rhoing

Bleeding heart *vine*

I believe this is Clerodendrum thomsoniae (family Lamiaceae), and not Lamprocapnos spectabilis (family Fumariaceae and formerly Dicentra spectabilis). The latter “bleeding heart” is also known as “old-fashioned bleeding-heart”, “Venus’s car”, “Lady in a bath”, “Dutchman’s trousers”, or “Lyre-flower”. If you click on the “bleeding heart” tag in the right margin, you’ll see the plant that is more commonly known as “bleeding heart.”

These flowers are difficult to photograph close up because the “filaments” are relatively long, but this shot came out pretty well.
