Our own garden!

Although not the first flowers to bloom in the Mitchell back yard, definitely the most dramatic! Probably an iris (family Iridaceae, genus Iris). Same plant as another post — http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2012-04-23 — which bloomed at least three weeks earlier last year.
