This is so beautiful in color, but I hoped the flower parts and focus are interesting without the color. Still appreciate the challenge, MaryBeth!

@rhoing and I forgot to do my b and w with spot of red month this year! Maybe next month! I will have to come back later today when not on my phone and peruse your photos!

Okay, now this might be my favorite if your b and w! But you know what, just a suggestion..I think if you rotate this 1/4 turn counterclockwise, so that the flower "stands up" at the bottom of the pic, it would be even better. I love the stamen, pistil, petals, shadows..but I think it would be more peaceful and easy to look at rotated .... ;0)
