Today is our 35th wedding anniversary!
The kids leave tomorrow, so we did a bit of shopping today. This was taken at Leon & Lulus — http://leonandlulus.com — a unique gift shop in a city adjacent to the city in which Clare & I grew up. (The shop's space is in an old roller rink!)
The colorful display of these pitchers caught my eye and the history of these pitchers is interesting — http://www.gurglepot.com — though I don't think I want one at our table…
I'm quite pleased with this image, given that it was taken with my point-and-shoot and that I am self-conscious about vertical lines being vertical and horizontal lines being horizontal. (Frank, you're on my mind with images like this!) I did have to rotate it a bit in PS and crop it to get it to even look this pleasing, but I'm content.
Saw some other items at the shop and it took me a while to hunt them down online. The particular one I photographed, both from an oblique angle and front-on, was a 3-dimensional lion, found here, http://www.cardboardsafari.com/leon-lion-bust I thought these were pretty cool from a design perspective!
