Remote control deconstructed

More 11th-hour desperation; the kids went home yesterday :-(

The remote control was bad, so Dish replaced it. They didn't want this one returned, so I took it apart out of curiosity and this "layer" that sits above the circuitry is all rubbery and flexible.

Photographed in my foldio photo box on the curved back surface. Not exactly Dalí's “The Persistence of Memory,” but I really like the effect of curving this component we experience as flat-and-straight.
