Signs of spring

Probably Rosebud Cherry (or Higan Cherry; “Prunus subhirtella 'Autumnalis'”). Taken outside the SIUC Student Recreation Center. The bee is a Honey bee (“Apis mellifera”).

Confirmed at BugGuide as “Apis mellifera” or “Honey bee”; http://bugguide.net/node/view/1199510 (but promptly “Frassed”).
