The Underground City
Montreal is at 45°N latitude and they get a bit of snow. Over time, private interests have provided a system of corridors, some above ground level like this one and some below ground level. They connect many buildings and subway stations. One can walk miles and miles without being out in the weather. This shot was with a guide at Centre de commerce mondial Montréal (World Trade Centre Montreal), but Clare & I explored more of these corridors on our own.
