Bird's eye view of a tragedy

Today was a volunteer day of taking Communion to the hospital. During my travels, I realized I had a view directly across the street to the site of an early-morning fire today. No one was seriously injured, but the old house — built in 1881 but converted to apartments, of course, in a college town — is a total loss and will be torn down.

Subsequently torn down (February 2019), https://dailyegyptian.com/91785/news/historic-carbondale-building-destroyed-by-fire-demolished/
