@danette Yeah, I thought about that poor choice of words later. People know you and know that you're not doing what you're doing just for yourself, so you are more comfortable "moving about freely." This was my first "Blue Christmas" and I didn't have my big camera so I could look like I was doing promotional shots, so I remained glued to my seat!
@rhoing I am not as bold as some of the other photographers. I seriously try to blend in. We are required to wear black (including the t-shirt identifying us). In years past, we were given more strict rules. The videographers have a full pass to go wherever. I could go up on the catwalk, but climbing a vertical ladder 30' that is part of the wall is apparently a challenge. When I shoot the traditional service, I shoot a lot from my front row seat. I don't like to be a distraction.
