A Brick Lane scene from last month's photo walk with Andy C and Aaron. All of Andy's recent BL shots got me looking back. Funnily enough I Googled "Brick Lane Lamp Post" to see what came up and found a newspaper article that said Brick Lane was the UK hotspot for texting injuries, that is pedestrians walking into lamp posts whilst texting! And for a while the lamp posts were padded to prevent injury!
Hahahaha!!! I read about those lamp posts. DOH!!!! Hahahaha!!! This is a great shot. Almost like a selective coloring. Perfect timing with the woman in the similar colors.
@robinwarner Its pretty long, I dont know about "blocks" but there are lots of interesting side streets coming off it. There's a lot of hip stuff but also a fairly large Bangladeshi community. The whole street is a bit run down and a mix of curry houses and retro boutiques. But really your man @andycoleborn is the expert!
That really made me laugh and would make a great movie. As an aside, every day I walk beside a busy 60mph limit road and see so many drivers texting. This morning the tally for a half mile was: 3 cars + 3 HGV drivers. Sad that I count, but it makes my blood boil.
nice one Rich, nicly balanced pic.. @robinwarner I'd say 1-1.5 miles long, with lots of side streets.. Rich is right, the south side is mainly food, the middle and north end more hip with vintage shops, record shops, trendy bars etc... busy(ish) most of the week but comes alive with the street markets at weekends
great shot Rich love the colour of this one
