I really like the London Underground, as long as it's not rush-hour anyway. The escalators, the people, the platforms, the tiles, the map, the design, the station names, the colours, all good...
@rich57 - wow holy sh&t! That's some map. Had no idea. It's pretty much like ours. Subways/underground life does have a lot of cool aspects. I get what you mean and feel same way here.
@rich57@michaelelliott guys.. the London tube map was set out by an electrician back in the 1930s and has become so succesful that its been copied the world over...
I love the underground as well. matter of fact it is one thing I always do when I visit a new city is check out the subway/public transit. Still haven't been on the El in Chicago yet....but on my list
Yikes, something tells me I'd spend a lot of time lost and walking if I tried to follow this! I've tried to manage the NY subway when I was visiting and well, it's a good thing NY'ers are so helpful....
great shot Rich, I have to confess I'm a secret London Underground Geek...love the history of the artwork and the secret closed stations etc etc.....but don't tell anyone! Great shot!
@sparkle If you google urban explorers closed tube stations check out the search results for people sneak/break in to take pics of them, I've stumbled across a few some really interesting work.
