13th Century Church by rjb71

13th Century Church

It's that time of year when I start wandering around the local churches. This one is in the village of Ayston in Rutland and dates from the 13th Century. Inside are the remains of some wall paintings that were white washed over in the reformation. It has a real historic feeling about it only reachable by a grass pathway from the road in the village.
I like it!

Such a lovely image - and the age of your buildings is always such a source of amazement to this Aussie! :)
