It's that time of year when I start wandering around the local churches. This one is in the village of Ayston in Rutland and dates from the 13th Century. Inside are the remains of some wall paintings that were white washed over in the reformation. It has a real historic feeling about it only reachable by a grass pathway from the road in the village.
@kork thanks! @busylady thanks its part of the churches conservation Trust and it was open so I had a good look round inside as well. @robz thanks. Yes it's something us brits take for granted! @brigette thank you
