It's Buxton (Derbyshire) Carnival in a week and my uncle is having a float to promote his joinery business and his partners shoe shop. He wanted a giant boot and roped my dad into making it for him, so here's dad, in his workshop papier mâché-ing the wooden frame he made. My sister has been given the job of painting it! Sadly, we're on a photography course on the morning of the carnival and I don't think we can make it back to Buxton in time to see but I'll try to get a photo of the finished piece beforehand!
