October List - Pretty in Pink

I hate pink so this would have been a challenge if there didn't just happen to be a vase of horrible pink things in the upstairs living room! My sister used to be florist and often gets asked to 'do the flowers' for all sorts of events, even though she's not actually a florist any more. These were leftover from something she did a couple of weeks ago. I'm lucky they still look reasonable and it was handy having them as I had bad news about my teacher training hopes so I've been feeling depressed and very nearly didn't bother with a photo today!
I'm not a big pink fan either, and I had to go out and buy some pink flowers!

Sorry to hear you had bad news. Hope it can be overcome.

Oh dear. Don't be put off, there are dozens of different types of teaching out there. One will be just up your street.

@clareannbrady
Thanks. I've been a TA for 11 years so was hoping to do the graduate teacher programme, for school based, salaried training. I've applied twice and failed twice as it was 10 applicants per place and now they're abolishing the GTP. There is a replacement coming in but the funding isn't as good so it looks like my only options involve £9000 tuition fees and being a full time student and I really can't afford to do that. I've worked hard to get to this point and now it seems impossible to get any further so I'm pretty fed up. I am trying to remain hopeful and believe that this way will somehow turn out for the better and I'll find a way!

That's heart breaking when you've worked so hard towards it. Non-state schools aren't held by the same rules. Try them.
