We were due to spend the whole day outdoors at school with the peak park ranger today. The weather was vile in the morning so we were relieved when the ranger had a family problem and couldn't make it until the afternoon, when the rain had stopped!
40 trees had been donated to school so the children could plant one each in our conservation area, amongst trees that I planted there myself when I was at the school. It's not the greatest photo but it's a scene from my day. This is two girls putting a rabbit guard around a tree they had just planted together.
It is a great chronicle shot, especially so that there is a tree there planted by you as a child. My wife Rebecca also teaches at her childhood primary school.
