This is one of the photos I went out to take yesterday. I needed to photograph 'a park bench' for a scavenger hunt and decided I'd go for a peak park bench (as in a bench in the Peak District National Park). There are 50 of these benches around the Peak, installed in 2004 to mark 50 years of the ranger service. Each bench has a poem on it - this bench reads

"Come and sit upon this seat
while you rest your smelly feet
when you're looking at your map
gusty wind will take your hat"
Hilarious poem! Love the pov here. Bet you had muddy boots. Sorry for so far behind with comments.

@jennywren
don't worry about the comments! I do love the poems on many of the benches - they were all written by members of the public and local schools and such. We didn't have muddy boots as it was all frozen solid (see yesterday's picture!).

More apologies - I'm way behind too. This I like for the sullen sky and the point of view of the bench, one of the subjects I keep returning to.
