I've had a good couple of birdwatching days and have lots of photos to go through and sort out but this had to be one of my favourites from today.
I was watching watching a greater spotted wood pecker next to the hide when I saw a kestrel swooping in. She landed in a tree right opposite me and when I raised the camera, she looked right at me. There were two females around but I didn't see a male. I really need more zoom!
On the original image you can zoom in really well, so I didn't compress/resize this one before uploading, but I don't know how large the site will allow you to view it, does that depend on if you're an ace member?
