View from the top

I haven't taken this road for ages and there is a lot of cotton grass covered moorland over here as well as over there near the rocks so I drove along here to see how it was looking. This shot (well one very similar from this spot) has featured before, but not for a very long time!

Another lovely landscape shot Louise. Is the landscape very varied where you live or do you cover a lot of ground when you travel around. Rocky hills and mountains in some shots and large open fields and spaces in others.

@helstor
I guess it is a varied landscape! The Peak District is varied, across the whole of it - there's limestone areas and gritstone areas, there are moorlands, farmlands, hills and mountains - some places very desolate and bleak, some lovely villages and towns and lots and lots of fields! Regarding my little corner of the peak district, everything that I have tagged roachling-home on here (or the label 'home' on my blog) was taken on and around the rocks you see pictured above. Over there is where all the cotton grass, heather moorland and rocks are - though where I'm standing for the photo above is also cotton grass and heather moorland, just less rocky. You can see across many counties from up here and from the top of the rocks - all the way across to Ellesmere Port (Liverpool) and the Welsh Mountains and Shropshire Hills too - all visible from here on a clear day! I'll have to take some shots of the views from around here and posting some! Hope that answers the question!
