Shutlingsloe by roachling

Shutlingsloe

Another overcast day, showery, but very warm. This is a view from the end of the ridge of rocks in Tuesday's photo (the longest ridge, on the left in the shot) looking across from the Staffordshire Moorlands to Cheshire (the county border lies down in the valley). The pointy hill over there is Shutlingsloe, and we have of course walked up it and looked back the towards the rocks where I was standing when I took this.
Great shot and very atmospheric.

I love the misty quality and the muted colors. Too bad about the rain but it definitely adds to the mood.

@andrina
Thanks for reading! We are often out for six hours on a walk, sometimes more! It was fun getting caught in the downpour but I'm glad it didn't rain for the whole walk!
