A break in the wet and windy weather resulted in a trip to Buxton and, on the way home, a visit to this tree which I love. I'm really pleased how well this turned out as I haven't used this camera for so long - though I'm sure that's due more to chance than skill!

Beautiful light, composition, and atmosphere, a fav for me. Looking forward to your pictures of where you live--I was born in Harrogate, though I have a feeling that's not actually in the Peak District. But you are in a beautiful part of the world.
This is a great shot, I love the composition and the lighting - and well done for dusting off the DSLR! Our bridge cameras are great, but they do make us lazy don't they? Mine certainly has that effect on me
