Felt awful today, only getting worse. I stayed in bed until 12:30pm, trying to sleep, but felt so ill I just didn't know what to do with myself. I was in a lot of pain and could hardly speak and I had a fever. I'd had enough of feeling ill so went to the local hospital to visit the minor illness walk in clinic (so much easier than trying to get a doctors appointment in the week!) and I was in and out within half an hour, sent home with antibiotics for a bad case of bacterial tonsillitis. I managed to take this shot when I got home so at least I've not missed a photo while I have been ill! Again, no need to bother with a comment!
oh but this does need a comment, especially to say look after yourself and get well soon! Sorry to hear you are unwell Louise, hope it clears quickly xx

I generally won't go to the doctors when I know I've got tonsillitis as I'm afraid they'll tell me that! This time, I knew I had no choice but the nurse I saw told me they won't take tonsils out now unless it is absolutely necessary, which was a relief! I've heard it's a very unpleasant operation so I'd rather keep mine!

Thank you... feeling a little better today now the antibiotics are kicking in. I'm slowing catching up with 365 so I'll be coming by to see your photos soon :)
Yes they definitely don't do it as readily as they used to. A friend of mine is waiting to have hers out at the moment because of repeated infections - it is such a debilitating thing tonsilitis
oh dear, hope you feel better soon! Downside of working with children is the constant stream of germs. I have an almost permanently sore throat for one reason or another.
Bacterial tonsillitis sounds very painful. I've had strep throat in the past and I imagine that what you've got woulod feel similar--agony. At least, since it's bacterial, the antibiotics should help--hope they do so quickly.
Thank you. The antibiotics are doing the job - I don't feel good today but I feel soooo much better than I have for the last few days!
Thank you both. I've had tonsillitis lots of times over the last few years but never as bad as this before!
