A mistle thrush and a patch of speedwell. I spotted it from quite a distance away when I took a stroll in the woods this afternoon and saw lots of other birds and wildflowers too.
I also found an amber snail - which was exciting (I'm easily pleased!) as I've never seen one before. I just happened to spot it as I walked past some long grass (because I'm a very good noticer of tiny creatures!). It being amongst long grass meant that I didn't take any great photos of him but you can see one here - http://www.pbase.com/kilkenny_photo_society/image/137860399 . I did almost pick him up and put him somewhere I could take nice photos, but I don't like to disturb things really.
Nice capture, lovely shot of the markings. She looks very alert. We don't seem to have them in the garden any more. Niever seen an Amber snail. It looks quite tiny.
Lovely photo. One of he reasons I bought my camera was to take photos of wildlife when I am walking the dog, he loves it as he gets longer walks. We very often see a mistle thrush but I don't think I have ever seen a amber snail, I will be on the look out now.

Possibly! I did crop this a little, but I quite liked the light and shade and the patch of speedwell and it didn't seem to look right when I cropped more... what I really need is a lot more zoom!!
